Cyber risks in banking, insurance and finance

Losses from cyber crime were estimated in 2015 at €220 billion, up 22%. Given the importance of these new risks, insurance coverage remains low in Europe. Indeed, the 549 million euros of absorption capacity of European reinsurance covers only 0.2% of potential French demand.

Banks and insurance companies must therefore internalize most of the costs associated with the growing number of attacks. In the face of this growing threat, new players and new solutions are emerging.
